The Traveling Kindness
A friend told me last month that the reason she survived her worst year was because of something I said at a dinner in 2019. She remembered the exact words. I could not remember the dinner.
I have been thinking about that ever since. How kindness travels in directions we never intended. How something you say without thinking can land in someone's chest and stay there for years.
You have already changed someone's life. You were probably just passing the bread when it happened.
